Head Coach C-Team

YOUTH FOOTBALL HEAD COACH
 
Coach youth athletes in 7-8-Year-old division/C-Team. Is considered a role model for young athletes assigned to his team; therefore sportsmanship, fair play, and full participation are all mandatory. Must be recommended for position by General Manager for Football Operations.
 
HEAD COACH RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Plan and supervise games and practices.
 
 Inform players/parents about games, practices, events, cancellations, and make-ups.
 
Supervise assistant coaches and team parents.
 
Teach the young athlete the fundamentals of the sport.
 
Promote the values of responsibility and commitment, and emphasize the importance of academics first and foremost.
 
Encourage the involvement of the parents in the sport as volunteers for ride sharing, fundraising, etc.
 
Provide a safe and fun environment for the children.
 
Learn and follow ALL association and league rules, policies, and procedures.
 
Give each player adequate playing time with fairness
 
Put the well-being of players ahead of your desire to win.
 
Attend association and league meetings, classes, and functions.
 
Assume responsibility for equipment that has been provided by the Wilk-Amite Youth Action Network
 
Inform the General Manager of Football Operations of any problems.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Pass a background check.
Complete all required training and obtain coach certification.
Know and adhere to Wilk-Amite Youth Action Network’s Social Media Policy.
Must not desire to win at all costs.
Must be patient with others, especially with children.
Be organized and dependable.
Be enthusiastic.
