Head Coach B-Team

Coach Leroy Carter, Jr.

Coach Carter returns for a 3rd season

Mr. Leroy Carter, Jr a graduate of the Wilkinson County High School will begin his 3rd year as Head Coach of the Wilkinson County Wildcats youth football B-Team, (9-10 YOA), during the 2020 youth football season. 
 
Coach Carter brings with him, his dedication to our youth and his coaching experience to the Wildcats youth football B-Team.  During the 2017 youth football season, Coach Carter served as assistant coach and defensive coordinator for the Wildcats youth football B-Team and he served as the            B-Team Head Coach during the 2018 and 2019 youth football seasons. 
 
 
Coach Carter said, “Caching youth football requires preparation, commitment, enthusiasm, integrity, and communication and coaching youth football is not about a win-loss record, but most important, making a difference in the lives of the players.” 
 
 
Coach Carter places a high value on discipline and shares the Wilk-Amite Youth Action Network’s concerns and desires to work with the school district to enhance academic achievement and conduct of players by having a positive influence on every player.  
 
 
In addition to being passionate about staying humble in good times and positive in bad times, Coach Carter emphasizes the need for safe drills and practice plans to get the most out of every practice session. 
 
 
Coach Carter communicates regularly with parents and players to stress the importance of proper nutrition and hydration before, during and after practice and games.
 
 
To assist the Wilkinson County school district in its efforts to enhance academic achievement and conduct, Coach Carter, with the permission of parents and school staff, will make regular visits to the school to ensure players’ grades and attendance are acceptable. 
 
 
Coach Carter demonstrates through his actions that COACHING YOUTH FOOTBALL IS ALL ABOUT THE KIDS.
